There are so many things that are going wrong in our world right now. Most of these “things” are beyond our control. Just to name a few:
we’re living in a pandemic,
the unemployment rate is high,
families are dealing with a great deal of challenges in their homes,
we’re trying to work jobs with distractions all around us,
school buildings are closed to students,
financial struggles,
health concerns,
unexpected deaths…the list goes on and on and on and on and on!
Yet and still…we should embrace hope. Hope by definition is a desire for a certain thing to happen; or, it’s having a feeling of expectation. Hope keeps us looking out and looking up. Hope provides comfort for our sadness while still reminding us that better days are ahead.
By continuously anticipating a brighter future, we can use today’s energy to help us concentrate on the tasks at hand, which helps us get through each day.
While things may not be going as planned, we can find some relief in a focused effort of pursuing tomorrow. With each new day, we are putting the worst behind us.
It’s okay to be sad…today. Take heart. Hope awaits you in every tomorrow.
