As we think about what we don’t have, what we’ve missed out on, what we didn’t experience in our past relationships, our upbringing, or with a career choice. The question we should ask ourselves is, so what?

So what does this lack, misstep, overlook, etc, etc, etc, really mean for me today? So what can I learn from what happened or didn’t happen to me? So what should I do next?

More importantly we should be asking ourselves, so what, am I going to let these setbacks stop me from moving forward, from creating a different or better outcome the next time? Am I finished and willing to accept that there is nothing else or nothing left for me? So…what am I going to do about my situation?

Here are a few different questions to ponder.

With the life, energy, and time left to take advantage of each new day, are you going to live in the past, or embrace your future?

Here are our options.

Accept only what was (past), believe all we have is what we can see right now (present), or determine what will be (future)?

Here is good news! Everyday is a fresh opportunity to start over! Do something new! We have the freedom to

change

grow

learn

forgive

let go, and

move on!

We must give ourselves permission to create a DIFFERENT tomorrow. We actually get to decide the kind of experiences we want to have.

The choice is yours!

It can be as simple as planning to do something you’ve never done, or as intricate as learning something new. Whatever it is that you believe you’ve missed out on, you probably did. However, those blemishes are things about you that really don’t deter God. He still has a plan for your life. He’s bigger than any life experience or situation you’ve faced—no matter how hard or painful it’s been. And most importantly, like no other, God is capable of reviving your life!

So what?
